Spring is in full swing and I’m pretty sure that by now you have already transitioned from your fall and winter wardrobe onto your spring looks. But, if you haven’t done it don’t feel bad. With this crazy weather we’ve been having, it’s hard to predict if you’re going to need a coat or a tank and if you’re anything like me, you still have your entire wardrobe– for all seasons– available, because, it never hurts to be prepared.

Now, there are a number of Fall/Winter items that can easily transition into Spring and Summer and , as a matter of fact, trending right now. Trends that just about anyone can sport. Let’s take a look at some of them to give you an idea, and see if you can come up with your own.

Layering. A huge trend for fall, but it doesn’t have to stay there. There are a number of items that you can layer up for those not-so-hot days of Spring and look oh so cool while doing it. Do this. Take your jean jacket, a dress shirt and a t-shirt with your favorite character, and put on some jeans or even jean shorts, and go on about your day.

Preppy-it Up. Sports coats or suit jackets are not only for the office anymore. You can kick your style up a notch by using one of your many blazers with your favorite jeans, or bright colored khakis. And guess what? You can also layer up and add a lightweight cardigan  for those chilly nights of summer.

Keep the Leather! You know how a leather jacket is one of the basic necessities of any man’s man? Well, you know what is better than just a plain leather jacket? A biker leather jacket.

So why in the world would you want to wear a leather jacket for Spring and Summer? Because it looks so f-ing cool! One thing I do recommend is not to wear it during the day, but instead have it handy for the late afternoon when the breeze begins to cool the city, and you are ready to head out to the bar to hang out with friends. Think Jean. And I don’t mean that girl named Jean. I mean jean as in jean jacket, jean shirt, jean shorts. Jean fabric is one of those fabrics that lends itself for just about everything, and also can transition into every season. So don’t put away your jean items.  Instead put them into good use by using them as layers or a simple focal point.

For this Spring and Summer don’t be afraid to use your Winter and Fall clothes. After all there aren’t any set rules that say you can’t. Have fun with your style and don’t be afraid to take risks.
